Hashmi’s journey from a rural background in Rahim Yar Khan to becoming a visual artist is truly remarkable. His artwork depicts real-life sceneries and visuals from his village and is largely autobiographical. He tries to break the ideology behind traditional landscapes by experimenting with his compositions. He defines his creative process as ‘self-revealing’ and ‘meditative’ for himself.
