Ustad Latif joined Mayo School of Arts in 1941 and continued to give his services there as visiting faculty even after retirement. He breathed his last on April 16, 1986 in Lahore. A dedicated teacher, superb draftsman gifted with dexterity with pencil and brush, he had command over all mediums-but watercolour was his favourite as per his student Khalid Latif.
