“When we think about art and its basic forms, the play of colour is an important aspect to consider. I’m fascinated by the impact of color on the human psyche, and how it can be used to create powerful emotional responses. In my work, I explore the interplay of colors to create dynamic and chaotic compositions that engage the viewer on a visceral level.
My inspiration comes from my love of night photography, particularly urban scenes with rich, saturated colors. I capture these scenes in my paintings by distilling and deconstruct the fragmentary and shapeless memories in my mind into precise minimal and geometrical forms. The overlaying windows, steps and and spaces in my paintings are a metaphor for the complex and often fragmented nature of the human. Through my art, I seek to create a dialogue between the viewer and the work, evoking emotional responses that transcend language and culture.”
