This assemblage pays homage to the ordinary anonymous men, forsaken and left far behind, who quietly endure their forgotten existence. Through these sculptures, I seek to unveil their untold stories and breathe life into their neglected presence. Their voices drowned out by the cacophony of progress, their struggles concealed beneath layers of indifference. Each sculpture, meticulously crafted from cold metal, echoes their muted cries for recognition and understanding. Tilluminate the faces of these nameless men, etching their features into the metal surfaces. These sculptures bear witness to the harsh realities they endure-lines etched deep with weariness, eyes reflecting the weight of their forgotten existence. Through this collection, I seek to restore their visage to the forefront of our consciousness, to challenge the world to see and acknowledge those left far behind. I explore the shattered dreams and aspirations that lie discarded in the wake of progress. These men once held hopes and ambitions, their potential stifled by circumstance and a society that turned a blind eye. Casim Mahmood is a self- taught contemporary metal sculptor based in Lahore. He has a distinct inimitable style which has been created through years of toil. His work delves into the otherwise ordinary and brings out the pain and numbness of existence. This is his third solo show.
